  Dock in the heart of Paris, admiring views of the Eiffel Tower and a replica of the Statue of Liberty from your ship.  On the Normandy coast, set foot on the D-Day landing beaches and pay tribute to the soldiers of WWII.  Delight in Rouen’s Gothic architecture.  Explore Giverny and the charming house and gardens where Claude Monet lived and worked, the setting inspiring many of his masterpieces. This 8-day river voyage celebrates history, art, food and customs in France’s most alluring urban and pastoral settings.

  French Balcony D	$4,199 Sold Out	Category D French Balcony stateroom is on the middle deck.  The rooms have a floor to ceiling window with a portion that slides open. There is no outdoor sitting area outside the room. The room has 135 square feet of space, including the bathroom.
  French Balcony C	$4,399 Sold Out	Category C French Balcony stateroom is on the upper and middle deck.  The rooms have a floor to ceiling window with a portion that slides open. There is no outdoor sitting area outside the room. The room has 135 square feet of space, including the bathroom.
  Veranda B	$4,799 Sold Out	The Veranda stateroom B is 205 square feet and includes a step out balcony with two chairs and a table. Category A is a Veranda stateroom on the Middle and upper Deck.

  Veranda Suite AA	$6,799 Sold Out	The Veranda Suite is 275 square feet and features both a step out balcony and a sitting area.  It provides extra features and an opportunity to book Business Class Air with a $1400 per person discount
  Ship Fjorgyn has only 168 guests and was built in 2020.  Every cabin has beds that can be set up separated or together for double occupancy.  There are no designated single cabins on the Viking ship Fjorgyn.  Anyone that wishes to travel as a single will pay the double rate.

  The Pre & Post Cruise Extensions have limited capacity and often fill up well in advance.  If you sign up now and decide later that you do not want to extend the trip, you can cancel the extension with no penalty any time before final payment.

  Air Schedule

  Viking occasionally changes the air price but it is locked in at the time of booking if you select Viking Air.  Current price is $799 roundtrip in economy.  If there is any difference, you will have the option to cancel.  If you choose Viking Air in registration, you will find your air schedule at your Viking Account and will have a chance to provide Viking with frequent flyer and seat request information after Viking secures flights in roughly June 2024. 

  Viking Air Fare Cancellation Policy: You may cancel the flight reservation until the ticket is issued. (Likely in August 2024).  Once the ticket has been issued, the airline ticket is non-refundable. 

  You also have the options to book your own airfare.

  Registration and Payment

  • Initial payment is $650 per person  Registration is online using our travel agency's registration form.  (Do not register directly at Viking website.)  You should have your cabin selection and a cabin-mate before you register.  If you need a cabin-mate, contact trip leader Ying Prince. 
  • If you have traveled with Viking before or/and have a credit from a past Viking cruise, have your last booking number or sailing date ready before you register. 
  • After you register and pay the initial payment, you will receive a confirmation email from noreply@jotform.com.  If any issues occur during online registration, or you want to make changes to your registration, contact trip leader Ying Prince. 
  • After your cabin is booked, you will receive an instruction to create a Viking account with your booking number.
  • If you book your cabin prior to October 2023, your final payment will be due on or before the end of October 2023.
  • If you book your cabin after October 1, 2023, your final payment will be due by the end of the month after your booking month. 
  • You will pay your final payment directly to Viking in your Viking account.  If you pay Viking by bank draft (ACH), you'll have a 3.3% discount on the amount due.
    
  • $200 discount for past guests returning to Viking within a year.
  • $100 discount for past guests returning to Viking over a year.
  • SCWDC membership is required. Single One-Year Membership (12 months) is only $35.00.

  Full Fare is defined as the full cost of any cruise, land or air component purchased from Viking.  Viking Risk-Free Guarantee is no longer available.

  
  

  Trip Insurance

  Trip medical/reparation and trip interruption insurance or cancellation insurance is highly recommended.  While shopping around for a suitable insurance policy, one of the options is to email "Group Trip Protector" at myra@travelprotectors.com or call 703-443-9055 for a quote.  The SCWDC group medical plan insurance can be purchased directly from Group Trip Protector at $52 per person group rate.  Trip cancellation insurance must be purchased within 14 days of putting down first trip deposit if you want to cover pre-existing medical conditions and or if you want the Cancel for Any Reason insurance. If you purchase any type of travel insurance from Group Trip Protector, you will pay GTP directly.  Do not send your premium payment to SCWDC.  

  Passport Required

  You must have a valid U.S. passport to travel on this voyage. Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond your planned trip dates.

  *One of the Viking General Terms and Conditions: You must be 18 years old on or before the day you are scheduled to embark on the cruise tour.
