EASTERN SKIING

The Club has staged day and weekend trips to local ski areas such as Liberty, Whitetail, Roundtop, Canaan Valley, Snowshoe, and Seven Springs. Plans vary each year depending on interest and the availability of volunteers. 

Question:  Will SCWDC run one-day trips to Whitetail, Liberty and Roundtop in the future?

Answer: Vail Resorts recently purchased these properties and their policies do not permit the Club to provide instruction. As such, we do not have plans to visit those nearby resorts.  

We have posted two Canaan Valley Trips that include Ski Performance Enhancement (SPE) with the SCWDC Ski School

SPE (Ski Performance Enhancement) – You can fine tune your ski/board techniques with the assistance of our own club instructors, so you can improve your skills as part of the trip!

PYOT – Provide your own transportation trips are closer to the DC area and easier to get to by your own car or carpooling, and it reduces the price of the trip.
