This week's ride will begin and end in Fairfax Old Town Square Park at the corner of University Drive and North Street. The route is a loop on paved trails and neighborhood streets with a few short (maybe 50-100 feet) hard packed gravel sections - easy to walk these sections if gravel is not your thing. It is mostly flat or gentle hills with one short uphill section. The Fairfax County Public Library opens at 10am and has restrooms if needed prior to the ride. There are some primitive restroom facilities along the trail in addition to the facilities at Wakefield Park about 1/2 way through the ride. There are multiple dining options in Fairfax City for anyone interested in grabbing lunch after the ride.
FREE PARKING: Old Town Plaza Fairfax Public Parking, 3925 Chain Bridge Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030. There is also an entrance to this garage off of University Drive. The garage is a half block from Fairfax Old Town Square Park.
