Park City Mountain is now owned by Vail Resorts and is connected to Canyons by a new gondola.  Vail has a long-term lease at the Canyons.  The combined areas make it the largest U.S. ski resort with over 7,300 skiable acres, 300+ trails, 38 lifts, seven terrain parks, 14 bowls, six natural half-pipes, a super half-pipe and a mini-half pipe.  There is a base area at both Park City and Canyons with restaurants, ski shops, rental shops, etc.  There is free bus service to both base areas of Park City Mountain as well as Deer Valley.  Park City honors the EPIC ski pass, while Deer Valley honors 5 days of skiing w/ the IKON ski pass.

Park City Mountain Resort offers something for everyone with extended glade terrain, upgraded on-mountain restaurants, expanded beginner terrain, and a ski-and-snowboard park. Enjoy the deep powder bowls, long groomed runs, gentle beginner slopes, steep chutes, and three world-class terrain parks. Park City now include Canyons, Utah's largest area with 16 lifts (seven are high-speed), boasts 3,500 skiable acres with 106 trails and eight peaks. You'll relish groomed boulevards, glade steeps, and undulating meadows. The area offers Vail-scale terrain, plenty of off-slope diversions, and few crowds, but little of the Vail glitz.

Deer Valley  offers luxurious amenities such as ski valets, groomed-to-perfection slopes (sorry, no snowboarders allowed), and gourmet dining in three elegant day lodges.

Sundance Ski Resort, created by Robert Redford, offers skiing and snowboarding (2,150' vertical, 450+ acres),  cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (miles of daily groomed trails, both classic and skating) , ski and snowboard school, Winter Zipline (Utah's longest, 2,100' drop), Sundance  Film Festival movies,  fine dining, Art Studio, and more.

Calling all Cross Country Skiers  For CC Skiing, this is the place to go. Park City has been a haven for cross-country skiers for decades, combining the benefits of aerobic exercise with the tranquility of the Rocky Mountains. Park City offers a wide variety of options from groomed trails, complete with classic tracks, or more rustic touring trails in the nearby mountains.

Other activities nearby include visits to the Crater, Ice castles, the Heber Valley Railroad, Milky Way Snowshoe, Yurt Dinners and a Creamery tour at the Artisan Cheese Factory to mention a few.  Individual tickets to the SFF movies may be available at the end of January.
