Warm up for Back to the Slopes (BTTS) Party with a pre-party bike ride!
Meet in the parking lot near Island Time Bar & Grill at Columbia Island Marina at 1:30pm on Sunday, September 13. We’ll ride south on the Mt. Vernon Trail, through Old Town Alexandria, cross the Woodrow Wilson Bridge to National Harbor. Then loop back and return to Columbia Island Marina in time for BTTS!
Back to the Slopes Party at Island Time Bar & Grill from 4 to 7pm
There is a cost for the BTTS Party - be sure to register early! Chill out after the ride, mingle with fellow SCWDC members, and enjoy some heavy hors d'oevres. RIDE START TIME 1:30 pm - please arrive at least 15 minutes early to use the restroom, put air in your tires, etc. DISTANCE: Approximately 20 Miles
TERRAIN: Paved asphalt bike trail.

Water, Snack, Sunscreen, Cash, Phone, Spare Inner Tube and CO2 Cartridge, Bike Lock.

Helmets are mandatory on every ride - no exceptions! Please ensure that your bike is in good working condition & your tires are properly inflated!

Back to the Slopes Party will be at the Island Time Bar & Grill, Columbia Island Marina, Arlington, VA, just off of the George Washington Memorial Parkway (south bound toward Mount Vernon). Our event space is outdoors, under a covered patio deck. There are also picnic tables on a grassy expanse. We'll provide heavy hors d'oeuvres, buffet style. As usual, there will be raffle prizes.
We will be inviting some of our ski industry friends to exhibit their products and services, just like at a ski resort's Ski Demo Day, to generate a ski season vibe. All the details have not been worked out yet but be prepared to be surprised at this fun members’ event. Check the weekly SkiGram for ski industry friends who will be attending BTTS as we get closer to Sunday, September 13.
It’s coming! Do a snow dance, but please don't do the rain dance! Think snow! Time to dust off and lay out your winter gear and begin charting your winter adventures for the season ahead! Get ready for some slope time. That’s right, it’s time to get BACK TO THE SLOPES!
