Resort:

Banff is a lively town inspired by the surrounding rugged mountains.  The bustling streets are lined with top-class restaurants, bars, shops, and vibrant arts galleries and museums. Banff is uniquely located within Canada’s first national park, home to three world-class ski resorts: Lake Louise, Sunshine Village, and Mt. Norquay.  This skier's and snowboarder's paradise offers light, fluffy snow and the most stunningly scenic backdrop you’ll ever experience, making it a must-visit resort for snow lovers. The opportunities for non-skiers are endless: hot springs, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, hiking (bring your crampons), sleigh rides, and dog sledding. Check out Discover Banff Tours.

This is the Blue Ridge Ski Council Western Carnival Trip. You'll be joining members of other nearby ski clubs to ski and party, and you will have many extras included. It is not an annual SCWDC ski trip, so now is your chance to ski the Big Three and take advantage of the favorable exchange rate, as this will be one of our least expensive week-long trips.

Mountain:
Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, and Mt. Norquay boast 7,748 acres of accessible skiing. Twenty-six lifts transport you to the action with over 360 inches of dry, light, rocky mountain snow annually. The skiing ranges from gentle beginner runs, rolling blue runs, and extreme off-piste skiing.

Sunshine, with 3,300 skiable acres, consists of three sprawling mountains and is where you will find Delirium Dive, named one of the top ten off-piste destinations in the world. Lake Louise, spread out over four mountains with 4,400 acres, is known for its variety of terrain, easy runs, long cruisers, glades, chutes, and some of the most exciting and wide-open bowls in the Canadian Rockies. Sunshine rose to number 3 in Ski Magazine's Top 30 in the West. Lake Louise comes in behind Sunshine at number 15. Ski two of the Top 30 in one trip.

Mt. Norquay is the closest resort to Banff and is known as a locals’ gem and the training ground for Olympic and World Cup athletes. Head here for a late start or early finish, leaving time to take in Banff. Complete the Big 3 Trifecta Challenge, ski all three resorts, and receive a free beer, commemorative award, and bragging rights.
