Join us on the Indian Head Rail Trail in Charles County, MD.  This is a quiet, scenic, 13- mile ride through forests, farmland and natural wetland.  The trail is FLAT, smooth and wide, making it an excellent ride for beginners.  There are several benches along the trail to stop, rest and have a drink of water or snack, and enjoy nature.  Keep your eyes peeled for turkeys, deer, herons, egrets and bald eagles. From the parking lot, we will ride to the trailhead together.  Then, everyone will ride at their own pace and turn around at the end of the trail or after 60 minutes (whichever comes first) so that we can meet back at the trailhead by noon.  We'll wait for everyone to arrive back safely, before we ride back to our cars.  Optional lunch at the Clarity Coffee House after the ride.

10:00AM - please arrive at least 15 minutes early so you aren't left behind.

Flat with smooth pavement

SUGGESTED ITEMS TO BRING:  Plenty of water, snacks, spare Inner tube, CO2 cartridge or pump. 

Helmets are mandatory on all rides

Please ensure that your bike is in good working condition and your tires are properly inflated.
