Day 1:  Arrive in Cumberland, MD; lodging will be at The Inn on Decatur and the 9 Decatur Guest House.  Check-in is 4 PM.  Dinner will be provided @ 6pm (pizza, salad, and beverages).  After dinner, settle in for the night or explore the open-air pedestrian mall just two blocks away.

Day 2: (32 miles) Rise to a hot breakfast prepared by our host, Gail.  Today we are shuttled to Paw Paw WV and peddle back to Cumberland on the C&O Canal.  A picnic lunch will be provided on the trail in Old Town.   This evening, we'll choose a location for a group dinner (cost is not included in the price of the trip).

Day 3: (32 miles) Another hearty breakfast starts our day.  We will be shuttled to the town of Meyersdale, PA where we'll ride on the Great Allegheny Passage (GAP).  A picnic lunch will be provided in Frostburg at the Western Maryland Railroad depot; there will be a hustle and bustle of train riders and you may be able to see the engine turn on the turntable.   Enjoy a 15-mile downhill pedal back to Cumberland.  We should arrive back in Cumberland by 2pm or 3pm to pack up and head home.   Please feel free to shower and rest at the Inn before departure.

Shuttle arrangements can be made to accommodate those who want to ride more than 32 miles per day.  A complimentary walking or driving tour of historic Cumberland is available upon request.
