COST:  $10 

WHAT:  Good coed, pickup volleyball. Teams are formed on the spot. Some go out for food and drink afterwards. 

WHERE:  We have three nets at Jelleff Community Center, 3265 “S” Street, NW, just a half a block off Wisconsin Avenue.

Public transportation: The Circulator Georgetown line, and DC 31 and 33 buses stop right outside Wisconsin and S.

Parking:  Limited free parking in the lot at Jelleff.  Right when we start, a lot of soccer parents are picking up their young players, so the parking lot tends to be full until 7:15 p.m.  If you arrive earlier than that, just park on “S” Street away from the parking meters – it’s a two-hour zone.  This is a very safe neighborhood.

WHEN:  Generally every Monday night in the Fall, Winter, and Spring from 7pm to 9pm. We do NOT play on Federal or DC holidays or other days the Jelleff recreation center is closed (e.g., weather).

SKILL LEVEL:  We aim to have two levels of play:  

Advanced: A to AA.  They tend to play 5/1 volleyball with a three-person attack on the front line.

Intermediate:  B to BB level. Rusty players are welcome, but given the minimal space between courts, for safety everyone should have an at least intermediate level and know how to play with a setter. (See https://grabagame.com/volleyball-skill-levels/ for description of levels)
