Come tailgate with us to celebrate the return of Fall and learn all about SCWDC's 2021 Ski Trips in private lot behind Alpine Ski Shop, Sterling. This is a skiers and non-skiers social event.
Surprise Surprise- Club Med is giving us a certificate for a 3 night stay for 2 at one of there resorts, Sandpiper, Ixtapa, Cancun or Punta Cana for our grand prize. This will be one of the several prizes we have for our raffle..

Our annual Back To The Slopes Party is now re-imagined as the "Back To The Slopes Tailgate Party", due the closing of the Tysons Biergarten. Our friends at Alpine Ski Shop in Sterling have generously offered us the use of their private lot situated behind their shop.
Enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon and early evening outdoors, socializing with your club friends, talking and dreaming about the upcoming ski season. Meet our 2021 ski trip leaders. We will have games, music, and of course, fun. Invite your family and friends to join in the fun.
Each attendee will receive a raffle ticket at check-in. Hang out for the raffle drawing for door prizes.
We will be inviting a few snow industry friends to exhibit their services and products. Alpine Ski Shop will be opened for their ongoing last season equipment and soft good inventory reduction sale.
Bring a lawn/beach/camp/folding chair or beach blanket/towel to sit on. A grassy lawn runs the parameter of the lot, with a few shade trees where you can hang out at a safe social distance to socialize. There are no picnic tables or chairs available at the event. We are welcome to use the bathroom facilities at the Alpine Ski Shop. Don't forget your face mask.
We'll will be providing food to nosh on, and refreshing beverages. Beverages include bottled water, beer, wine coolers, hard seltzer/cider. Attendees may wish to bring their own favorite summertime libations, just in case our selection is not to their taste or liking
There will be a nominal $5 fee to help cover expenses. Registration and payment must be made in advance, no later than 9 PM Saturday, September 19. This will allow us to arrange for an adequate amount of food and beverages.

Directions to Alpine Ski Shop, 21999 SHAW ROAD, STERLING, VA 20199:
From I-495 take the Dulles Access Road (VA-267 W) 12 m. to exit 9B to merge onto VA-28 N. Exit onto VA-846 E/N toward Sterling, then proceed North on VA-636 N to Alpine Ski Shop on the right.
OR
From I-495 take I-66 W toward Vienna/Front Royal, then take exit 53B onto VA-28 N/Sully Road. Then exit onto VA-846 E/N toward Sterling and proceed as described above.
