We will raft the Upper Yough (pronounced yock) in western Maryland with Precision Rafting on Saturday, July 28. This is an intense trip through 20 continuous Class III – V rapids with an impressive 115 ft per mile drop; sure to give you an adrenalin rush. You must be in good physical condition, very comfortable in the water (you could wind up there) and some rafting experience is highly preferred. This is not a float trip! Everyone works hard to keep the raft (with a guide and three passengers) out of trouble.
Rafting starts about noon and we finish late afternoon, so this can be done in one day. Carpooling will be planned to Friendsville, MD – about 3 hours.
