Learn To Ski or Board - Or Improve - with the SCWDC Ski School

One day SPE (Ski Performance Enhancement) trips include free lessons by our Ski School (nationally certified) instructors. These are PYOT (Provide Your Own Transportation) trips, requiring that participants meet at the ski venue by 8:30 AM to meet up with the leader and receive a full day lift ticket, lunch meal ticket, get on the slopes by 9:15 AM, and begin a 2 1/2 to 3-hour lesson by 9:30 AM.  If in need of rentals, arrive by 8 AM.   In the afternoon, participants ski or ride on their own.

These are great trips to either learn to ski, or get in shape for the winter skiing season. Each trip includes a half day of instruction from SCWDC's ski school, separately described below.  Whether a beginner, intermediate, or expert, our ski school can handle it all. And for most, who didn't go to South America to ski this summer, it's a perfect way to get those ski legs back. Please sign up early because a minimum number of participants are required or the trips will be canceled, as the Ski School must have enough lead-time to place instructors.  Payment to the SCWDC should be made using the EventBrite link above, which allows for credit card payments.

DIRECTIONS:  From Washington about 82 miles, 1 hour 40 minutes – allow time for parking, shuttle, rental.

Take I-270 North to Frederick. Route 15 north to Emmitsburg, MD, exit left onto South Seton Ave. At traffic light, turn left onto Route 140. At PA line, Route 140 becomes Route 16. Turn right on Route 116. Liberty Mountain Resort is 3 miles on the right.
