Rock Creek-Beach Drive Out & Back 

Meet in the parking lot at Rock Creek Picnic Area #1 (near. Pierce Mill).  We'll do an out-and-back beginning at Picnic Area #1.  On the trail, we will pass the Smithsonian National Zoo and head onto Beach Drive which is closed on the weekend so there is plenty of room to spread out! We'll stay on Rock Creek Trail for 10 miles,  take a water break (bring a light snack if you want one) then head back.  After the ride, there's an optional lunch at Dog Haus Biergarten Van Ness (Washington DC), 4340 Connecticut Ave NW Retail Space #5, Washington, DC 20008 (a 1 mile bike ride or you can drive there).

*We meet in the parking lot in front by the bathrooms

RIDE START TIME:  9:30AM - please arrive at least 15 min. early to use the restroom, pump your tires, etc. 

DISTANCE: Approx. 20 miles

TERRAIN: All paved Trail/Some Hills

DIFFICULTY LEVEL:  Intermediate 

WHAT TO BRING:  Water, snacks, sunscreen, spare inner tube, bike lock 

Helmets are mandatory on every ride - no exceptions!  

Please ensure that your bike is in good working condition & your tires are properly inflated!
