Resort:
Palisades Tahoe formerly Squaw Valley earned its reputation as a world class ski resort hosting the 1960 Olympics. Skiing operations sprawl across 6 peaks with views of Lake Tahoe located about 10 miles away. Palisades Tahoe boasts 4,000 acres and combined with 2,400 acres at Alpine Meadows, a short gondola ride away, it is one of the largest resorts in North America. Check out the High Camp uniquely situated on the top of the mountain. The pedestrian friendly village is host to numerous restaurants and shops, a luxury spa, ice skating, and more. Want a day off, head to the charming and historic town of Truckee to enjoy lunch, visit a brewery, or shop for unique and local artisan crafts.
Mountain:
Palisades Tahoe’s terrain is spread across two mountains, connected by the Base to Base Gondola. Palisades is home to iconic expert zones like KT-22, Headwall, and Silverado, while Alpine offers a mix of bowls, groomed cruisers, and tree-lined descents. The resort’s vertical drop of 2,850 ft and summit elevation of 9,050 ft provide ample variety across 97.5 miles of skiable terrain. With 270 trails and 36 lifts, skiers can explore everything from mellow slopes to technical steeps.
Beginners will appreciate the learning areas near Far East Express and Mountain Meadow, where wide, gentle runs allow for easy progression. Big Blue Express and Gold Coast Express offer access to intermediate terrain with scenic views and consistent grooming. Families often gravitate to the Gold Coast zone for its central location and proximity to dining and rest areas.
Intermediate skiers can explore Shirley Lake and Wa She Shu zones, which feature long blue runs and natural progression routes. The Red Dog lift provides access to Lake View and Resort Chair terrain, ideal for warm-up laps and scenic descents. These areas offer a balance of challenge and comfort, making them popular throughout the day.
Advanced and expert skiers head straight to KT-22, known as “The Mothership,” for legendary lines like Chute 75, The Fingers, and West Face. Headwall Express and Granite Chief serve steep chutes and powder stashes, while the Broken Arrow zone offers cliff bands and technical terrain. Silverado’s back bowls are a favourite for deep snow and fewer crowds.

The Everline Resort and Spa
SCWDC will be staying at the Luxury Everline Hotel with its own lift. Their breakfast is one of the best. Room amenities include Keurig Coffee Maker, mini fridge, Robes and slippers, hair dryer, and wifi. Shuttles available throughout the day to the Village for more Apres Ski, Shopping, and Restaurants. Of course, there are the necessary skier amenities: ski valet, hot tubs, and a heated swimming pool.

Cancellation Fees:
After October 20, 2026, the standard $50 cancellation fee applies. After the $50 cancellation will be charge plus, a credit card service fee and any unrecoverable expenses if a replacement is not found.
