Resort:
Snowbird ski resort is an amazing playground for skiers, especially those who love the light, dry Wasatch powder that averages about 500 inches annually. Alta, its neighbor resort, also averages about 500 inches thanks to ideal topography and a phenomenon called "Lake Effect”. The two resorts are interconnected.
Mountain:
Statistics for Snowbird: Elevation is 11,000 feet at the summit and 7,650 at the Base; Vertical drop is 3,240 feet; terrain classified as 27% beginners, 38% intermediate, and 35% advanced, served by lifts of 1 Tram, 3 Quads and 7 Double Chairs.
Statistics for Alta: Elevation is 10,550 feet at the top and 8,530 feet at the Base; Vertical drop is 2,020 feet; terrain classified as 25% beginner, 40% intermediate, and 35% advanced, served by 2 detachable Quads, 2 detachable triples, 3 doubles, and 5 surface tows.
Lodging:
Our group will be housed at the ski-in-ski-out Snowbird Cliff Lodge, a sophisticated, alpine hotel surrounded by the majestic Wasatch Mountains and within walking distance to the pedestrian village.
As Snowbird’s flagship accommodation, this ski-in, ski-out property provides excellent services and amenities all under one roof, such as a ski rental and repair shop, heated outdoor pool and hot tubs, spa with 21 treatment rooms and a yoga studio, fitness center and rooftop pool & hot tub with spectacular views down the canyon, plus three restaurants and two lounges: The Aerie Restaurant & Lounge, El Chanate Restaurant & Cantina, and the Atrium. Snowbird honors the Ikon Pass by providing a $514 Snowbird gift card to Ikon passholders and non-skiers that must be used at Snowbird.

Washington Dulles (IAD) Reagan National (DCA) and Salt Lake City (SLC) on Southwest Airlines (may check in up to two bags without bag fees)
- Seven (7) nights lodging at the Cliff Lodge in double-occupancy hotel rooms
- 5-day Snowbird lift ticket (6th day is free, receive a $514 Snowbird gift card (valid at Snowbird only), if you are an IKON pass holder or don't need a lift ticket).
- Ground transportation between SLC airport and resort
- Happy Hours - several evenings during the week, to meet and get to know each other
Full Package Cost: $2,985 $2,840 (includes 5-day lift ticket; sixth day is free)
Ground Only: deduct $599 $461 - available after group air minimums are met
Single Supplement: add $1,685 $1,681- Trip Leader will advise availability.
No lifts or Ikon Pass holder: Receive a $514 Snowbird gift card, which is valid at Snowbird only. This card may be used at all onsite resort owned facilities including restaurants, gift shops, spa and equipment rental and retail outlets. Ikon Pass validity:
- Ikon Base: 5 days at Snowbird; not shared with Alta. (No Snowboarding at Alta)
- Ikon Base Plus: 5 days at Snowbird; combined with Alta
- Ikon Pass: 7 days combined with Alta
Cancellation Fees: A $50 cancellation fee applies for any cancellations prior to September 29, 2023. Afterwards, the participant will also be responsible for any unrecoverable expenses, including 3% credit card transaction fees on applicable payments.
Payment Schedule: (per person):
$500 Advance Deposit.
Remaining balance is due on September 29, 2023; may be paid by credit card or check. Please mail payment check to SCWDC, 5309 Langston Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22207. Do NOT mail payment check to the trip leader.
