100% Genuine West Virginia Snow!! Great skiing and boarding begin with great snow, and with a peak elevation of 4,280 ft.  Canaan Valley Ski Resort offers a 850 ft. vertical drop, longest run at 6,000 feet, 39 slopes, and 150” of annual snowfall, along with the beauty of a West Virginia ski resort.

This SPE Weekend includes three days of skiing and boarding. This year there is a two night option available for those who want to ski/board on Saturday and Sunday. Instruction will only be offered at Canaan Valley Ski Resort on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with the option to ski/board without instruction at Timberline on Monday.  Your trip will include daily small group lessons with either the resorts' or club's ski school. PSIA/AASI certified instructors will help you achieve your goals, whether you are a beginner or advanced looking to refine your technique.  We will be staying in lodge rooms at the Canaan Valley Resort and Conference Center that features an indoor heated pool, whirlpool, Sauna and Fitness Center.

Included in trip price:

• 2 or 3 nights’ accommodations at the Lodge 
• 2 or 3 days of lift tickets
• 2 or 3 half-day lessons
• Friday Evening Welcome Reception

Not included in trip price: Transportation to/from the resort and mountains; ski/board rentals; meals, and any other items not listed above.  Optional private lessons may be arranged at an additional cost.

$250 surcharge for three nights or $173 for 2 nights 

Cancellation Fees:

Participants who cancel will be responsible for all unrecoverable expenses if a replacement participant is not found, including 3% credit card transaction fees on applicable payments. 

Payment Schedule (per person):

Full balance is due upon registration and may be paid online by credit card, or by mailing a check. Please mail payment checks to SCWDC, 5309 Lee Highway, Arlington, VA 22207.  Do NOT mail payment checks to the trip leader. Participants must be current SCWDC members or pay an additional $40 guest fee! This guest fee is almost as high as the cost of a membership!
