Take in the breathtaking, mountain-ringed turquoise waters of Lake Louise and vivid, glacier-fed Moraine Lake in the rugged Valley of the Ten Peaks. Travel on the scenic Bow Valley Parkway to the dramatic canyon walls, waterfalls and lush forest of Johnston Canyon, a natural wonder carved into the limestone bedrock by thousands of years of water erosion. Continue along the fabled Icefields Parkway, stopping to marvel at the blue waters of Peyto Lake before you reach the snow coach that will take you across the surface of the majestic Athabasca Glacier. Arrive in Jasper this afternoon and check in to your hotel for your two-night stay. (B, D)
From water-carved Maligne Canyon to lovely Spirit Island, visit the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. Check out of your hotel this morning and venture across the interior of British Columbia to Vancouver. Your route will follow the Thompson and Fraser Rivers, passing old frontier towns such as Cache Creek and Boston Bar, and wind through Fraser Canyon. Pass Hells Gate gorge and the town of Hope, and traverse fertile valleys on your way past Chilliwack and Abbotsford. Arrive late this afternoon in Vancouver, where you will spend two nights in your hotel. (B)
Today you will have the entire day to spend at your leisure in the beautiful, bustling seaport city of Vancouver. Take in the sights, stroll along the beach or join the optional excursion to the world-renowned Butchart Gardens near the provincial capital of Victoria on Vancouver Island. (B)
