Our annual July party and picnic will be held at Lake Accotink Park in Springfield, Virginia. We will be picnicking at the MclLaren-Sargent Shelter.
Enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon and early evening. (If the weather is not so beautiful, come anyway, as we will be under a large covered pavilion).  We will provide water, soft drinks, beer and wine, and catered barbecue with all the fixins. We will also have snacks to go along with the beverages. (Wine and beer are permitted)  And we will have games, music, and of course, fun.  

This year we will have a nominal fee of $10 to cover the cost "Rain or Shine", no refunds
Registration and payment must be in advance and due by July 13 Noon. This will allow us to order the correct amount of barbecue and sides.

We will start serving beverages at 3:00, and the barbecue at 4:00.  We must be cleaned up and out of the park by dark.

Coronavirus Safety Measures

We are adhering to all of the state and local guidelines

We will be Social Distancing

Bring a lawn  chair. There are picnic tables in the pavilion but you may want to sit out in the sun and social distance while socializing.

Don't forget your face mask.

There will be a walk-in sanitizing station at our entrance table
Sanitizer and paper towels will be available throughout the pavilion

Our volunteer food servers will be wearing mask and gloves

If you don" feel well DON'T ATTEND!!

Definitely use this Heming Ave. entrance and
park in the Heming Ave.entrance parking lot (it's right there at the entrance).
Then a short walk to the MclLaren-Sargent Shelter.

From the beltway take Braddock Road East
Turn right on Hemming Avenue
Proceed south on Hemming Ave. 1.3 miles (under the beltway) to the Hemming Road park entrance on the right just past the housing development.
