Stay at a 1850's log cabin owned by the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club outside Luray, VA and adjoining the Shenandoah National Park.  Join us in the resurrection of a small pond as we use a backhoe to dig out the sediment and lay down a liner to keep water in the pond.  While the backhoe will do the heavy work, we can join in and help as needed, including replanting the emergent vegetation after the backhoe replaces the soil on the liner.  If all goes well, we'll be done Saturday and Sunday will be for hiking and exploring around the area.  We'll start at 10am on Saturday, although the cabin will be available for early birds Friday evening.  Community meals for Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast. For details, contact  Bob Pickett, pickett@us.net, 240/457-0352.
