THE SKI CLUB OF WASHINGTON, DC
GREAT SPORTS FOR ALL SEASONS
Join us on an 8.4 mile hike in the south district of the Shenandoah National Park. This moderately difficult hike includes a 1800’ descent down the Doyles River trail and ascent along the Jones Run trail back to the Appalachian Trail, where we’ll return to our starting location. Being a natural history hike, we’ll be stopping to identify flowers, lifting rocks and talking about the natural environment as we go. After the hike, for those interested, we'll have dinner at Giovanni’s near Stanardsville, VA.
Plan on meeting at the north side, Vienna metro at 8 AM.
